Violette is a singer, pianist, and songwriter based in Sherbrooke, Qc, and Jordan Officer is a singer, guitarist and songwriter based in Montreal, Qc.

You can sense that there was something both destined and completely unexpected in the meeting between Violette and Jordan. Two artists from very different worlds, musicians with almost opposite backgrounds, who nonetheless found each other in an intangible space somewhere between folk and jazz, in May 2023.

An instant musical connection—that’s what happened in that small space on Ontario Street in Montreal, above the Lion d’Or. Every week that year, they met to sing and play together, drawing inspiration from music of all kinds of styles, gradually finding their own. Little by little, the first songs began to emerge. Naturally, the lyrics were written in each of their native languages, sometimes in the other’s, and infused with the full richness of the music they share.

A year later, their first song “Dis-moi” was released, followed by their first live performances in Sherbrooke and Montreal. Through the shows and the passing months, their artistic world became more defined and deepened, and new songs came to life. The duo Violette and Jordan is now ready to truly come into its own with this 12-track album “Dahlia, revealing the full extent of the human and musical bond that unites them.

The first single “On partira” will be followed by other singles, and the full album to be released on September 11th 2026, along with tour dates in 2026-2027.
